Bio

First it was The Beeswax. The rap rock masterpiece that introduced them to anyone unlucky enough to miss the now-legendary LA house shows. Four brilliantly produced tracks of mammoth guitars, dizzying rhyme schemes and unstoppable hooks that showcased some of the best moments on an album all year. Next was the wave of musical deconstructions that saw Britney SpearsThe Jungle Book, and an old seafarer's hymn all reinvisioned within the post-genre sonic lawlessness of which only they could conceive.

Then came the string of singles that each built on the immense excitement of their debut. The mandolin-driven stomp rap of Devil Come, Devil Go had them called easily one of the most fun discoveries in quite some time. The glistening harmonics and twirling meta-narrative of Thanks A Lot, Brain showed them crafting a sound entirely their own. The mad rapping and merciless swagger of Teeth. The sample-driven funk rock banger I'm Coming Back To Haunt You

And then, the seismic shift within New Plague Radio itself. A brilliant Russian multi-instrumentalist leaves his home as a refugee during the 2022 invasion of Ukraine and arrives in Los Angeles. He dives into LA's underground music scene, which leads him to New Plague Radio. Within moments of playing together, the group decides to rebuild their sound from the ground up with this new influx of wildly disparate influences.

Two boys from Ohio meet a Russian refugee in Los Angeles and decide to back up a rapper. Razor sharp wordplay and incendiary guitar work punctuate ferocious groove and New Plague Radio's unique penchant for barbershop-inspired vocal arrangements. With an absolutely ballistic live set and the most unique sound you will ever hear, New Plague Radio is as catchy as...

Meet the band

  •  Chief Redeye made his debut as an MC with 2017's This Album is Cursed. He's a very patient listener with a very, very messy car. Right now he's either at an amusement park or he's watching Godzilla.

  • This is George. George is the friendliest man in the world. George enjoys big American cities and opportunities to take his shirt off. If you ever get the chance, you really should take a close look at his tattoos. They are something else.

  • Donovan is the singer, guitarist, video director, and generally bossy member of the group. He's full of hot takes and is an adult who plays Pokemon. He is irreparably, inescapably loud.

  • Devin is our resident keyboard player and sound-mangling mad scientist. He's a passionate fan of obscure references and collects comics, plushies, and guitar pedals. He makes up new names for holidays and goes to bed when regular people wake up.
